I have only had 3 appointments at Barts having been at the Heart Hospital previously. I have been impressed by the new venue, its cleanliness, ease of directions, efficiency of staff and the volunteers assisting new arrivals. They were really helpful on my 1st visit. Given all the current financial problems (cut-backs etc.) that the NHS face, I feel that this unit is doing extremely well. Well done and thank you.

I visited clinic 3 and 1 with my husband. I was very disappointed at the lack of information available. We were sent to the wrong place and then missed an appointment and had to wait an extra 2 hours. The staff sent us to the wrong place and then were not very helpful when we said we had been waiting. Also while I was waiting for my husband in clinic 3 waiting area, a woman called Saira was asking for participants in a research project. I was appalled to see her go up to couple where the man was in a wheelchair and the woman was seated. She proceeded to speak to the woman and completely ignored the man. When the woman said she needed to speak to the man only then did she acknowledge him. I feel this was disgraceful as she needed consent but it appeared as he was in a wheelchair she treated him differently. I think she needs some disability equality and dignity training asap.

whilst I was in hospital all the nurses seemed very rushed (they normally are anyway) with little time to spend sufficient time with patients. they never seemed to be able to spend time to explain, they just did their job and moved on, the care was good but seemed to be rushed all the time

I've been under Bart's for over 13 years. I couldn't be anywhere better. They have diagnosed, treated & saves my life. They continue to manage the side effects. I would thoroughly recommend the hospital as a whole. Yes some of it is an older building but the new modern upgrades mean it is a pleasant & clean environment, the staff are the best I've known.

I have spent quite a long time as an in-patient on Garrod Ward and I have the utmost respect for all the staff there, without exception.

If I were ever to be admitted again for any treatment, it would be St. Bartholomew's hospital I would wish to be treated in. I could never ask for such dedicated care I have received over the years. All the doctors and nurses and staff have all been wonderful to me.

I would hoghly recommend St Bartholomew`s Hospital to everybody becouse is in perfect location, clean. The staff is friendly end very profetional.
